So this is my first post at blogspot. Whoop di doo! Anyhow I'm not sure what I'm going to write or ramble but I'm going to give it a shot.
So whats going on in my life right now? Well, I'm currently working in Santa Monica at the Sony Playstation Studios as a systems administrator. My job is great and I have no problems with it. It can be a challenge on some days but it's a fun place to work. As for my personal life, Melanie and I are approaching our second anniversary as husband and wife. Time flies when you're married as it seems like it was just yesterday you walked down that aisle.
Currently my hobbies include reading and studying about digital photography. I have two digital cameras at the moment, one of them being a Canon SD700 and the other a Nikon D80 dSLR. I absolutely love both of these cameras as they produce such great shots. Most of my time is spent studying dSLR's and the exciting things you can do with them. I am currently reading Thom Hogan's D80 ebook, "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson, and "the Digital Photography" book by Scott Kelby. I am nearly finished with the last 2 as I just got Thom Hogan's book yesterday. I will make a conscious effort to post some of my pictures from both cameras. In addition to taking pictures, I also need to learn photoshop as part of the post production process in photography.
Another event that is happening in my life is the wacky idea of running a half marathon in Long Beach. Yes folks, that's 13.3 miles! I'm not sure why I signed up but it's something that I had challenged myself to do before turning 30. Well that day came and went as I never did it. Well a few weeks ago, I needed a new challenge in my life and this was it. Currently, I am training for endurance purposes frankly because I just don't have it. I'm up to around 4-4.5 miles but I have to constantly tell myself to slow down as I gasp for air. My ultimate goal is to finish this race and try not to look at the time. Thanks to the Ipod Nano/Nike+ pedometer, I am able to track my distance, time and pace with a touch of a button. God I love technology!
Alright that's all for now. Time to go to sleep as I have a early morning run to do. Peace out homies.
